Perfect Date

The Main Condition for a Perfect Date

Actually, the relationship can end before even getting to the second date! Therefore, we periodically tell you how to behave on the first date: what you can ask about, what you cannot ask, and even what things you need to have with you. Now, let’s talk about the main condition for a successful first date. And we didn’t invent this condition: it was the result of a survey conducted by sociologists at Singles In America.

Place of the Date

So, the main condition for a successful first date: the meeting should take place not in a restaurant, not in a cinema or even in an ophidiarium, but in a bar. Fortunately, the bar isn’t a dull watering hole. Modern bars are true cultural establishments with expensive drinks and decent design, where you can chat wholeheartedly while drinking sophisticated cocktails.

Everyone knows that alcohol makes us more communicative and talkative. Besides, under the influence of liquor, the true nature of a person appears faster. That is, instead of taking the girl to the theater several times and only on the fifth date to find out that she doesn’t drink, you could find it out on the first date, without wasting time and a music subscription for such a hopeless person.

According to the researchers, the first date at the bar has another advantage: it doesn’t oblige you to anything. If the classic first date — a movie and a restaurant — involves a long stay in the same space with a stranger, then everything is easier in the bar. You can leave at any time when something goes wrong.

As a rule, the first date shouldn’t take a lot of your time or money — it’s enough to get to know each other superficially. And only then, if after dozens of shots you still have pleasant memories of the interlocutor, you can ask them out for a second, “full” date at the theatre.

What do other surveys say?

According to surveys of various dating services:

  • most often, respondents choose a restaurant or café as a place for dating,
  • shopping and entertainment centers have become another popular location,
  • 19% of respondents spoke in favor of dating at home or in an apartment.

Almost 30% of respondents noted that they could treat a potential partner a little better if he/she came for a date in a car. 6% said they would be happy if their partner comes to the meeting on an electric scooter, and 32% spoke in favor of walking.
